Statement

‘I am a little bit obsessed with the Mother and Child Archetypes. I think this partly stems from personal experience of being a mother, in particular, a mother of a disabled child. Without doubt, the main reason I paint, is to make some sort of sense of deeply felt emotions. Stories of mothers, both present day and past, real and imagined constantly inspires me.’

‘I work intuitively, often from small sketches, at other times I paint spontaneously.’
