‘Conversations with History’ Archive event at Manchester Art Gallery

This is a special two-hour event celebrating 200 Years of Manchester Art Gallery. Our archivist, Peter Davis, will be there with our new President, Janina Cebertowicz, to give the public a rare glimpse at some of our archive books.

The event will also feature some insightful presentations and lively discussions from three esteemed speakers, offering unique perspectives on the evolution of our city’s arts ecology over the years: Yuen Fong Ling (Artist, Curator and Researcher, a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University and previously Director (Exhibitions), Castlefield Gallery, Manchester 1999-2005). Rebecca Wade (Special Collections and Galleries, University of Leeds) and Hannah Williamson (Fine Art Curator, Manchester Art Gallery).
