MAFA President 1990-1993
Glenys Latham was Head of Art at Leigh Girls’ Grammar and later at Wigan and Leigh College. She took early retirement to pursue her own sculpting work and is known for her work with stone usually focusing on the human figure and natural forms.
She was awarded a travel bursary from MAFA to visit the Olympic Peninsula, Washington were she discovered new influences in vivid sunrises and sunsets, rainforests, native American objects and ocean waves. See some of Glenys’ sculptures.
