Constructing the Mersey Gateway Bridge Drawings and paintings by Shaun Smyth MONDAY 18 FEBRUARY – FRIDAY 5 APRIL The River Mersey has played a significant role throughout Artist Shaun Smyth’s life; his proximity to it persists in being a source of inspiration for his work. The selection of paintings and drawings for his ‘Constructing the Mersey Gateway Bridge’ exhibition are an introduction to his ongoing exploration of the changing geographical landscape of Halton. They also serve to historically document this continually changing landscape, in particular the construction and development of the innovative Mersey Gateway Bridge
