Visual Quality of Materials in Sculpture

Join MAFA member David Sprakes in a lecture on the Visual Quality of Materials in Scupture at the Mall Galleries in London. There is free entry to the annual exhibition of the Royal Society of British Artists for whose who attend this talk.

“The sculpture evolves through enquiry, investigation and exploration. Drawing, maquette studies, clay modelling, mould-making, casting, construction and carving illustrate the breadth of techniques involved in my work. An underpinning concept is truth to materials, allowing their visual and tactile qualities to become a key message of my sculpture.”
